The latest invention in Air Disinfection was successfully presented by TPATM Air Technology in the German Pavilion at Expo 2020. Here, 47 TPA Air Sanitizers protected more than 2.5 million visitors for 180 days and provided them with the purest air indoors.

During this international exhibition, more than 274 million cubic meters of air were effectively cleaned from dust, bacteria, fungal spores and viruses. The high-performance Air Sanitizer removed 99.9% of microbiological pathogens from the air, this has been confirmed by German medical laboratories as well as other institutes worldwide.

Due to the large stream of visitors, considerable amounts of dust were carried into the rooms, the washable filters were cleaned weekly and can still be used today.

The Air Sanitizer of TPA™ Air Technology are patented and the first system in the world that not only purifies large amounts of air but also eliminates microorganisms through a high voltage plasma field at the same time. The inactivated pathogens are collected on metal plates, together with dust and other air pollutants. These plates can safely be washed off.
Parallel to Expo 2020, thousands Air Sanitation devices were installed in German schools to protect students from infection with Covid.

“Treating the air with up to 40,000 volts enables us to eliminate microbiological pathogens of all kinds. Neither viruses, bacteria nor fungal spores survive this process. All particles, including dust, are charged up and attracted electrostatically to the metal plates to stick there. The durable metal filter can be washed out then, over and over again. This saved considerable amounts of energy and consumables during Expo 2020 and in future.” confirms Thomas Schmid, German inventor.

Especially living indoors under air condition in addition to the high loads of sand dust outdoors poses a special challenge.
TPATM Air Technology in Germany is working on the availability of this economical Air Sanitation Technology for the Middle East to support the local community.
