Following up on the successful implementation of advanced indoor air purification devices at Expo 2020, the MBM Group (Sheikh Mohammed Maktoum Juma Al Maktoum Investment) founded the company TPATM Air Technology together with their partners of the German TPATM distribution who have been working on this new and environmental-friendly technology for years.

According to studies, UAE residents spend an average of more than 90% of their live indoors, hence healthy indoor air is of particular importance. Although all modern AC systems supply enough air from outside, additional pollutants are produced generally indoors by modern building materials, paints, furniture, carpets and other materials.
Fine dust, formaldehyde, volatile organic compounds, bacteria, spores and viruses accumulate here, partly generated by humans themselves. As a result, more clean air inside is needed.

“To supply additional air from outside by the air conditioning system would be even more energy intensive. Cleaning the air in a closed loop directly inside is more sustainable.” says Thomas Schmid, CEO of TPATM Air Technology.

The TPATM Air Technology is characterized by a low power consumption, reduced by over 50% compared to conventional filters. The electrical filter system removes even the smallest particles down to a few nanometres. Furthermore, it is wash-able, so no expensive filter cartridges are needed for operation. A high-voltage cold plasma field eliminates viruses, bacteria and germs.

The decentralized air purification units can be set up in all indoor spaces such as offices, hotels, gyms, homes and schools. Especially children should be effectively protected against exposure to indoor pollutants, so that the pollutants do not accumulate in their bodies over the years.

Overarching, the new possibilities of air purification protect the health of the entire community and can lead to an improvement of indoor air quality in future. Energy-saving and sustainable air treatment concepts are an additional opportunity to boost the long-term health of the nation and a further step in the United Arab Emirates' target to achieve carbon neutrality.

The aim of TPATM Air Technology is healthy and unpolluted indoor air for every citizen.
