To protect the health of the students and teachers in view of the ongoing infection rate and to enable the school to run as smoothly as possible, the German Government equipped all schools and kindergartens with accredited Air Sanitizers.
TPA Air Technology installed thousands of classrooms with its new sustainable technology and thus saves immense follow-up costs for replacement filters protecting the environment at the same time.
For example, almost 900 devices were delivered and installed by TPA Air Technology Germany / LTEG GmbH for the Aichach / Friedberg district alone. See image.
The mobile air filter devices with plasma technology eliminate and filter pollutants from the ambient air using a so-called cold plasma field. Its degree of filtration of almost 100 percent has been confirmed by German medical laboratories, particularly regarding the SARS-CoV-19 virus. Further advantages: The air sanitizer is optimized and certified in Germany neither to emit ozone nor other pollutants.
Devices also eliminate pollen and fungal spores.
"In addition to infection protection, which of course has the highest priority, it was important to us - in view of the considerable investment that the Government is making here - to also take future aspects such as follow-up costs and sustainability into account," explains District Administrator Dr. Klaus Metzger.
In contrast to many alternative technologies, the pre-filter and main-filter unit of the devices do not have to be changed and disposed to waste but can - once the capacity limit has been reached - cleaned and then reused without any loss of quality.
"This not only saves the district a lot of money, but also protects our environment," says Rainer Hurler, Head of Municipal Construction in the District.
The District also wants to save on electricity costs. Since the energy consumption of the purchased plasma devices is significantly lower than that of devices with HEPA- and UVC technology, there would also be lower follow-up costs.
Another advantage of the purchased devices is the long-lasting high filter-efficiency. In the case of many devices with HEPA filters, they decrease quickly and significantly over time.
The Government also focused on the later use of the air sanitizer after the end of the pandemic. In addition to being used in the event of further influenza waves, the air sanitizer could also be used "only" to sanitize and improve the quality of the indoor air. The purchased devices also reliably filter fine dust, pollen, other allergens as well as formaldehyde and fungal spores from the ambient air.
